SML Mahindra Posts Modest Profit Growth In Q4 Despite Margin Pressure
SML Mahindra Limited has reported a steady but modest increase in profitability for the fourth quarter of FY2026, supported by strong revenue growth in its commercial vehicle business. SML Mahindra Q4 Results Show Revenue Growth And Profit Stability
The SML Mahindra Q4 results 2026 showed net profit rising 2.36 percent year-on-year to ₹54.2 crore, compared with ₹53 crore in the same period last year. The growth in profit was supported by stronger sales momentum across its vehicle portfolio.
Revenue for the quarter increased 16.4 percent to ₹898 crore from ₹771 crore, driven by improved demand in the commercial vehicle segment, including buses and trucks used for passenger and cargo transport across India.
EBITDA And Margins Under Pressure In SML Mahindra Performance
Despite revenue growth, SML Mahindra EBITDA margin pressure remained visible in the quarter. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation stood flat at ₹90.4 crore, indicating that higher sales did not translate into improved operating profit.
Margins declined to 10.1 percent from 11.7 percent in the same quarter last year. The fall reflects increased cost pressures, likely linked to input costs and competitive pricing in the commercial vehicle market.
