According to the FADA three-wheeler sales report, total retail sales reached 1,09,777 units in March 2026, compared to 99,325 units in March 2025. This marks a 10.52% year-on-year increase, reflecting sustained demand across passenger and cargo segments.
The report covers multiple subcategories, including passenger e-rickshaws, e-carts, cargo carriers, and personal three-wheelers. All segments recorded growth on a yearly basis, indicating a stable recovery and consistent demand in both urban and semi-urban markets.

The FADA three-wheeler sales report reveals that established manufacturers continued to dominate the market. Bajaj Auto retained its top position, recording a strong 21.62% growth, with sales rising from 33,844 units to 41,162 units.
Mahindra and Mahindra also posted impressive numbers, registering a 35.33% increase in sales from 7,362 units to 9,963 units. Its subsidiary, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, contributed significantly with 9,929 units, reflecting a 35.49% growth.
Piaggio Vehicles maintained a healthy trajectory as well, with sales growing 22.17% year-on-year to 8,643 units. These figures underline the continued strength of legacy OEMs in driving overall market expansion.

While traditional players gained momentum, the FADA three-wheeler sales report also highlights a decline among several electric vehicle-focused manufacturers. YC Electric Vehicle recorded a sharp drop of 44.14% in sales, while Saera Electric Auto saw a 35.50% decline.
Dilli Electric Auto also witnessed a fall of 7.50%, and J.S. Auto remained nearly flat with a marginal dip of 0.81%. The Others category, which includes multiple EV players, declined by 4.70%, suggesting consolidation and increased competition within the electric segment.
Despite these declines, the overall FADA three-wheeler sales report indicates that the segment continues to evolve, with demand gradually stabilising.

Among all manufacturers, TVS Motor Company emerged as the fastest-growing player in March 2026. The company recorded a remarkable 87.68% growth, with sales jumping from 2,954 units to 5,543 units.
Atul Auto also posted a steady increase of 23.55%, selling 3,022 units compared to 2,446 units in the same period last year. These gains highlight rising competition and diversification in the three-wheeler market.
