The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has inaugurated the largest fast electric vehicle (EV) charging station on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor. Located at Anand Vihar station, the facility aims to boost clean mobility and provide convenient charging solutions for commuters.

Advanced Fast-Charging Facilities for Commuters

The Anand Vihar station charging hub features 10 high-voltage charging units, each capable of 480 kW. This allows up to 10 vehicles to charge simultaneously. The system can charge four-wheelers up to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, significantly reducing downtime for EV users.

Charging points for heavy commercial EVs have also been installed, ensuring the facility caters to a wide range of vehicles. Users can access the station through the ‘ElectreeFi’ mobile app, which handles slot booking, real-time monitoring, and digital payments.

With the new Anand Vihar station, EV charging services are now available at eight stations along the corridor, including Sahibabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, Meerut South, and Anand Vihar.
