Ashok Leyland Achieves 22,333 CV Sales March
Ashok Leyland has announced its commercial vehicle (CV) sales for March 2026, posting a total of 22,333 units across domestic and export markets. This represents an 11.43% year-on-year growth compared to 20,041 units sold in March 2025. Strong domestic demand contributed to stable growth, while export performance showed mixed results across segments.
Domestic Market Drives Strong CV Sales
In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland sold 21,643 units in March 2026, up 12.08% from 19,310 units in the same month last year.
Segment-wise Domestic Performance:
- M&HCV (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles): 14,138 units, up from 12,882 units in March 2025, reflecting 10% YoY growth.
- LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles): 7,505 units, up from 6,428 units last year, marking a 17% increase.
The strong domestic demand underscores Ashok Leyland’s leadership in India’s commercial vehicle market.
Mixed Results in Export Markets
Ashok Leyland’s exports totaled 690 units in March 2026, down 5.61% from 731 units in March 2025.
Segment-wise Export Performance:
- M&HCV Export: 332 units, a significant 142% increase from 137 units last year.
- LCV Export: 358 units, down 39.7% from 594 units in March 2025.
While M&HCV exports surged, LCV exports faced a decline, leading to mixed overall export results.
Combined Domestic and Export Sales
The company’s total commercial vehicle sales, including domestic and export markets, reached 22,333 units in March 2026.
Segment-wise Gross Sales:
- M&HCV: 14,470 units, up from 13,019 units last year, reflecting 11% growth.
- LCV: 7,863 units, up from 7,022 units in March 2025, recording a 12% YoY increase.
Ashok Leyland closed March 2026 with stable growth in the commercial vehicle segment, primarily driven by strong domestic demand.
