SWITCH Mobility Powers Cleaner Cities With Electric Municipal Solutions
At Municipalika 2026 in New Delhi, SWITCH Mobility highlighted its electric municipal vehicles designed to support India’s net-zero ambitions by 2030. The company showcased smart, fully electric sanitation solutions, including the IeV3 garbage tipper and IeV4 electric road sweeper, aimed at improving urban hygiene, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
SWITCH IeV3 Garbage Tipper: Efficient Waste Collection
The IeV3 garbage tipper is engineered as a fully factory-fitted electric vehicle for urban waste management. Its closed body design features integrated wet and dry waste partitioning, customizable tipping angles, and structured discharge systems that enhance hygiene and compliance across municipal operations.
Available in 2.5, 3, and 3.5 cubic metre configurations, the IeV3 supports payloads up to 900 kg (tipper) and 1250 kg (FSD), making it suitable for diverse municipal requirements. Powered by a 25.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the vehicle offers a real-world range of up to 140 km. Fast charging capabilities allow 80% charge in roughly 55 minutes, ensuring high fleet uptime.
Designed for dense city conditions, the IeV3 offers compact dimensions, electric power steering, optimised ground clearance, and dual-tone cabin comfort with D+1 seating. Its integrated telematics enable real-time fleet monitoring, enhancing operational efficiency and utilisation.
SWITCH IeV4 Electric Road Sweeper: Cleaner Streets
The IeV4 electric road sweeper is a next-generation solution for street cleaning. Its integrated 6-inch vacuum suction system and vacuum-operated brushes enable simultaneous sweeping and dust suppression, maintaining high hygiene standards in residential, commercial, and high-traffic urban areas.
The vehicle features a 2.0 cubic metre waste tank, 500-litre water storage, and a 1.5-metre dumping height for efficient waste handling. Its compact and agile design allows smooth navigation through narrow lanes, while silent electric operations minimise noise pollution. The zero-emission driveline ensures cleaner, cost-effective, and sustainable municipal operations.
Driving Sustainable Urban Mobility
Both the IeV3 and IeV4 provide silent, zero-emission performance with lower maintenance requirements, allowing municipalities to improve operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Showcased at Municipalika 2026, these vehicles demonstrate SWITCH Mobility’s commitment to building cleaner, smarter, and more efficient cities through advanced electric solutions.
