ACE Kato Joint Venture to Set Up Haryana Plant

Action Construction Equipment Limited and Kato Works Co., Ltd. have announced a joint venture to manufacture high-capacity cranes in India, marking a significant step in the country’s construction equipment sector. The partnership, structured as a 50:50 collaboration, will see an investment of around ₹200 crore.

The new entity, ACE KATO Pvt. Ltd., was announced in New Delhi on March 24, 2026, and is expected to strengthen India’s position in advanced construction equipment manufacturing.

Manufacturing Plans and Product Range Under ACE Kato Joint Venture

The ACE Kato joint venture will establish a manufacturing facility in Haryana, with operations expected to begin in 2026. The plant will produce a range of high-capacity cranes, including truck cranes, crawler cranes, and rough terrain cranes.

These machines are essential for large-scale infrastructure projects, industrial operations, and construction activities. The production output will cater to both domestic demand and export markets, positioning the venture as a key supplier in multiple regions.

Technology Focus in ACE Kato Joint Venture

The ACE Kato joint venture aims to bring globally benchmarked crane technology to India while boosting domestic manufacturing capabilities. According to company leadership, the collaboration comes at a time when infrastructure and industrial growth in India are driving demand for advanced equipment.

The initiative is expected to expand the presence of both companies in the high-capacity crane segment and strengthen India’s role as a manufacturing hub for lifting equipment.

Combined Strengths Drive ACE Kato Joint Venture Growth

The ACE Kato joint venture will leverage Kato Works’ engineering expertise and proprietary technologies to develop advanced crane solutions. These products are expected to deliver improved performance, operational efficiency, and competitive costs.

At the same time, Action Construction Equipment Limited will contribute its strong manufacturing base and operational experience. The company’s distribution network spans more than 125 locations, supported by 13 regional offices, providing a strong foundation for market expansion.

This combination is expected to enhance product positioning and open access to new customer segments.

Export Strategy of ACE Kato Joint Venture

The ACE Kato joint venture will also focus on expanding its global footprint. The partnership plans to target exports across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, along with other international markets.

Action Construction Equipment Limited already exports to over 42 countries, and the joint venture is expected to strengthen this reach with a broader and more advanced product portfolio.

ACE Kato Joint Venture Aligns With Make in India

The development aligns with the Make in India initiative, which promotes domestic manufacturing across sectors such as construction equipment, industrial machinery, and infrastructure development.

India’s construction equipment sector has seen rising demand due to increased government spending on roads, railways, ports, and urban infrastructure. Programs like the National Infrastructure Pipeline have further accelerated this growth.

The ACE Kato joint venture supports this momentum by combining global technology with local manufacturing capabilities.
