NHAI Partners with Commercial Vehicle Aggregators

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with commercial vehicle aggregator platforms to improve commuting for drivers and fleet operators in New Delhi. The initiative aims to leverage technology-driven solutions to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and overall experience for commercial vehicle operators traveling on national highways.

Under this MoU, aggregator platforms will integrate the Rajmargyatra App to provide timely safety alerts and a dedicated Call 1033 feature for quick access to the National Highway Helpline. The move is expected to create a seamless communication channel between drivers and highway authorities.

Promoting Safety and Responsible Driving

The MoU also emphasizes driver recognition and participative governance. Key initiatives include:

  • Integration of the Vishisht Saarthi commercial driver recognition program
  • Encouragement of safe and responsible driving practices
  • Implementation of Jan Bhagidari – Driver-Led Reporting for geo-tagged reporting of highway issues
  • Centralised resolution of reports through the Rajmargyatra ecosystem
  • Strengthened coordination between fleet operators and NHAI for quicker response

This collaboration positions NHAI to leverage technology for safer and more efficient highway operations while fostering participative governance and accountability among commercial vehicle drivers.
