Bajaj Auto Posts 27% Sales Growth in February 2026

Bajaj Auto Limited, the Pune-based two-wheeler and commercial vehicle manufacturer, recorded a 27% year-on-year increase in total sales for February 2026, selling 4,48,259 units compared to 3,52,071 units in February 2025. The figures were shared in a press release filed with BSE and NSE on 2 March 2026.

Strong Growth Across Two-Wheelers and Commercial Vehicles

The company’s two-wheeler segment drove most of the sales, with combined domestic and export sales reaching 3,79,921 units in February, up 27% from 2,99,418 units a year earlier. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 27% to 1,86,164 units, while exports increased 26% to 1,93,757 units, slightly surpassing domestic dispatches.

Commercial vehicles continued their upward trajectory, with total sales rising 30% to 68,338 units. Notably, the export sub-segment recorded a sharp 43% increase, reaching 21,921 units compared to 15,376 units in February 2025. Domestic commercial vehicle sales also grew by 25% to 46,417 units, reflecting broad-based demand.

Overall, exports for February rose 28% to 2,15,678 units, while domestic sales increased 27% to 2,32,581 units, highlighting strong performance across both geographies.

Cumulative Sales Show Steady Year-to-Date Growth

From April 2025 to February 2026, Bajaj Auto’s cumulative sales totaled 46,72,290 units, up 9% from 42,81,143 units during the same period last year. Exports were the key driver of growth, increasing 21% to 20,71,096 units, while domestic sales grew modestly by 1% to 26,01,194 units.

Domestic two-wheeler sales year-to-date remained almost flat at 21,28,019 units, highlighting that export momentum has been the primary engine of growth. Commercial vehicle exports have been particularly strong, up 52% year-to-date.

Global Footprint and Market Strategy

Bajaj Auto is India’s third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume and a major global exporter of motorcycles, with a footprint spanning Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and parts of Europe. The company’s commercial vehicles, primarily three-wheelers, contribute significantly to both domestic revenue and export earnings.

The February results underscore Bajaj Auto’s ability to balance a recovering rural domestic market with sustained overseas demand. The company continues to leverage its export strength to fuel overall growth.

The sales data was released under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and signed off by Executive Director Rakesh Sharma.
