Leyland Expands Service Network Across Western India

Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle arm of the Hinduja Group, has announced a major expansion of its service network in Western India. Over the next year, the company plans to add 30 new service touchpoints to its existing 150, enhancing accessibility and after-sales support for light commercial vehicle (LCV) operators.

Strengthening Presence in Western India

Currently, Ashok Leyland operates 29 dealer partners, 130 service workshops, and over 350 trained technicians across Western India. The company’s service coverage ensures a touchpoint every 35 kilometres. With the expansion, this interval will be reduced to one service point every 25 kilometres, improving convenience and response time for fleet operators.

Viplav Shah, Head of LCV Business at Ashok Leyland, called the expansion a strategic priority. He stated, “The expansion of the LCV networking in Maharashtra and the entire Western region will be a game changer for us. We remain committed to strengthening our presence in this key market.”

Meeting Growing LCV Demand

The expansion comes at a time when India’s demand for light commercial vehicles is rising, driven by infrastructure development and the growth of last-mile logistics. Western India, particularly Maharashtra, is a high-priority region due to its economic activity and transportation requirements.

Ashok Leyland’s LCV portfolio focuses on payload capacity, fuel efficiency, and load area dimensions. The network expansion ensures that after-sales service matches the pace of sales growth, providing operators with reliable support and maintaining vehicle uptime.

Conclusion

With the addition of 30 new service touchpoints, Ashok Leyland is set to strengthen its LCV market presence in Western India. The move enhances customer convenience, reduces service gaps, and reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting fleet operators in one of the country’s most economically active regions.
