ZF Unveils Smart Fleet Solutions At Automechanika 2026

ZF Brings Next-Generation Fleet Technology To India

ZF Aftermarket has showcased a range of advanced digital and mechanical solutions for commercial vehicle fleets at ACMA Automechanika New Delhi 2026, held at Yashobhoomi from February 5 to 7, 2026. The company’s latest innovations focus on improving safety, reducing downtime, enhancing operational efficiency, and modernising fleet management in India’s demanding logistics environment.

With India’s trucking sector expanding rapidly and facing increasing regulatory and operational challenges, ZF’s new solutions aim to provide fleet managers with smarter, data-driven tools to optimize performance and ensure compliance.

India’s First AIS 113-Compliant Connected Trailer System

One of the key highlights at the event is India’s first AIS 113-compliant connected trailer solution developed by ZF Aftermarket. The system integrates the trailer’s Electronic Braking System (EBS) with ZF’s newly introduced SCALAR cloud-based telematics platform.

This connected system enables real-time monitoring of critical parameters such as braking performance, load distribution, and overall trailer health. Fleet managers can access actionable insights that help in predictive maintenance, minimising breakdowns, and improving regulatory compliance. The technology is expected to be particularly beneficial for large fleet operators handling long-haul and high-volume freight operations.

AI-Powered Video Management System For Safer Driving

ZF has also introduced an AI-driven Video Management System (VMS), a first-of-its-kind feature for India’s commercial vehicle market. The system provides drivers with a 360-degree view of the vehicle, significantly improving visibility and reducing blind spots.

The VMS is equipped with real-time event detection, capable of identifying incidents such as harsh braking, sudden lane changes, and potential collisions. It also provides in-cab alerts, allowing drivers to correct their behaviour instantly and adopt safer driving practices.

Beyond safety, the system generates valuable data that fleet operators can use to optimise routes, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance overall driver performance. This technology is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening road safety standards for commercial vehicles in India.

New Heavy-Duty Clutch For Trucks

Expanding its product portfolio for the Indian commercial vehicle segment, ZF Aftermarket has launched the SACHS 430 mm heavy-duty clutch, specifically designed for trucks operating in Indian conditions.

The clutch has been engineered for durability, offering a longer service life and smoother engagement. It is particularly suited for long-haul operations where frequent clutch wear and failures can disrupt schedules and increase maintenance costs. The new component is expected to provide fleet operators with a more reliable and cost-effective solution.

Leadership Perspectives On The Future Of Mobility

Andre Scholle, Head of ZF Aftermarket for India, Middle East, Africa, and CIS, emphasised that the company is shaping the future of “Mobility Uptime” in India by integrating digital diagnostics, AI-based safety solutions, and OE-quality components. He highlighted innovations such as ZF MultiScan, connected trailer technologies, and the expanding ZF [pro]Tech workshop network as key pillars of this strategy.

Akash Passey, President of ZF Group India, noted that India’s mobility landscape is rapidly becoming more connected and digitalised. He stated that ZF is fully prepared to support this transformation with advanced aftermarket solutions that prioritise safety, reliability, and innovation.

Abhishek Verma, Head of ZF Aftermarket India, added that the company is working towards building a fully integrated ecosystem that seamlessly connects diagnostics, digital platforms, and locally developed products tailored to the Indian market needs.

What This Means For Indian Fleets

With these new solutions, ZF Aftermarket is positioning itself as a key technology partner for India’s commercial vehicle industry. By combining smart digital tools with robust mechanical components, the company aims to help fleet operators reduce costs, improve safety, and enhance operational efficiency in an increasingly competitive logistics sector.
