Supreme Auto, Toyota launch India’s first CNG trailer

In a landmark move toward sustainable transportation, Supreme Auto Carrier, part of the Supreme Group, has launched its first CNG-powered trailer in collaboration with Toyota Logistics (TLKI). The innovation marks a significant step forward in India’s transition to eco-friendly vehicle logistics, reinforcing the company’s commitment to clean energy and responsible growth.

The new trailer, powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), brings multiple advantages including reduced carbon emissions, improved fuel efficiency, and lower operating costs — aligning closely with India’s Net Zero 2070 vision. Supreme Group said the initiative reflects its long-term dedication to sustainable logistics and its alignment with key government initiatives such as the National Green Hydrogen Mission, FAME II Scheme, and the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020.

“This collaboration with Toyota Logistics represents more than just technological progress — it’s a collective step toward a cleaner, greener logistics ecosystem,” said Vikrant Gupta, Director of Supreme Group. “At Supreme, innovation and responsibility go hand in hand. By launching our first CNG trailer, we are driving not just vehicles, but the future of sustainable logistics in India.”

The CNG-powered trailer demonstrates how partnerships between major logistics and automotive players can help reduce the industry’s carbon footprint while maintaining operational excellence. Both companies share a common goal of transforming India’s auto logistics space through advanced, sustainable, and energy-efficient solutions.

Supreme Auto Carrier has been steadily building its credentials in eco-conscious logistics. Just last month, the company executed a New Modified Goods (NMG) railway movement for Mahindra and Skoda Volkswagen, integrating rail and road transport to create a cleaner and more efficient supply chain. The initiative showcased the company’s growing focus on multi-modal logistics, reducing emissions while maintaining scalability and reliability.

The new CNG trailer is part of Supreme Group’s broader push to integrate cleaner energy, smart technology, and sustainable operations into every stage of its logistics ecosystem. From optimizing routes to adopting alternative fuels, the company aims to set benchmarks in low-emission freight mobility.

Gupta added that the successful launch underscores Supreme’s commitment to the nation’s sustainability mission and its ambition to shape a logistics industry that balances performance with environmental responsibility.

“This is just the beginning,” he said. “Our goal is to continue innovating, partnering, and investing in green technologies that redefine how vehicles move across India — cleaner, faster, and smarter.”

With this milestone, Supreme Auto Carrier and Toyota Logistics have paved the way for a new chapter in India’s logistics journey — one where growth and sustainability move forward together.
