Nara Lokesh Inaugurates Tata Hitachi Dealership in Atmakur, Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a new Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Limited dealership and machine care facility at Atmakur, near Mangalagiri, on Wednesday. The state-of-the-art centre was established by Sri Dhanalakshmi Auto Agencies Pvt. Ltd., a part of the Lakshmi Group, marking another milestone in the region’s industrial and infrastructure growth.
Speaking at the event, Lokesh emphasised the crucial role of such dealerships in driving employment and economic development, equating their importance to that of major technology firms like Google. “Dealerships like Tata Hitachi’s are as important as Google for generating jobs, which remains a top priority for the government,” he remarked.
He added that for multinational companies such as Google to invest in Andhra Pradesh, a strong construction ecosystem is essential. “Excavators, bulldozers, and their service centres are integral to building that foundation,” Lokesh said, highlighting the interdependence between industrial growth and employment generation.
The Minister praised the Lakshmi Group for its dedication and contribution to Andhra Pradesh’s development, noting that the state needs more organisations with such commitment to achieve its economic goals. He described Mangalagiri as a rapidly advancing area serving as the gateway to Amaravati, where social infrastructure projects are being implemented on a large scale to accommodate the growing workforce.
Reflecting on his political journey, Lokesh shared that although he narrowly lost the 2019 election by 5,300 votes, his continuous engagement with the public helped him secure a decisive victory in 2024 with a majority of 91,000 votes. He credited this success to his focus on development initiatives in Mangalagiri, which now boasts improved civic facilities and expanding business opportunities.
He further detailed the government’s development agenda, which includes the construction of housing plots, a 100-bed hospital, community centres, underground drainage systems, and a reliable drinking water supply. Additionally, a gems and jewellery park is under development, aiming to boost industrial activity and create new employment opportunities.
Lokesh urged Tata Hitachi to continue supporting Andhra Pradesh’s industrial ambitions and assured full cooperation from the state government. Tata Hitachi Managing Director Sandeep Singh, along with Lakshmi Group Chairman Kambhampati Rammohan Rao, Managing Director K. Jayaram, Executive Director G. Bharat Bhushan, and Director K. Venkata Sivarama Krishna, were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
The new dealership is expected to strengthen Tata Hitachi’s presence in the region and provide enhanced service and support to customers across Andhra Pradesh, contributing to the state’s goal of becoming a hub for construction and industrial development.
