Kubota Introduces Next-Gen SVL65-2s Compact Track Loader with Advanced Upgrades
Kubota has announced the next generation of its popular compact track loader (CTL), the SVL65-2s, which is set to arrive at U.S. dealerships by the end of 2025. Designed to deliver reliable performance in tight spaces, the new model builds on the success of its predecessor with improved operator comfort, performance features, and technology enhancements found on Kubota’s larger next-gen CTL lineup.
The SVL65-2s retains its core specifications, including a 68.4-horsepower Kubota diesel engine and a rated operating capacity of 2,100 pounds at 35% tipping load. With a weight range between 8,135 and 8,631 pounds, the CTL continues to serve as a compact yet capable machine for contractors seeking power and agility. For those needing greater versatility, the loader offers optional high-flow auxiliary hydraulics capable of delivering up to 27 gallons per minute to operate demanding attachments.
Key Additions for Operator Comfort and Control
Kubota has equipped the SVL65-2s with a series of new technologies aimed at improving efficiency and operator experience. Notable upgrades include:
- Kubota Shockless Ride: A suspension system that cushions loader arms over uneven terrain, ensuring smoother rides and reducing material spillage.
- Auto-Shift Function: Automatically detects traction load changes during turns, downshifting to increase torque when needed and returning to high gear as the load lightens.
- Adjustable Track Response: Operators can choose between “mild,” “normal,” and “quick” modes via the color LCD touchscreen, tailoring performance to specific job conditions.
The new interface features a touchscreen and jog dial control system, positioned for better visibility and accessibility. It also includes keyless start functionality, allowing operators to enter a four-digit passcode to activate the machine — with the ability to store up to 50 user codes.
Enhanced Cabin and Functional Features
Kubota offers the SVL65-2s in both open and closed-cab configurations, each with a host of features designed for productivity and safety. The cabin version includes a rearview camera, Bluetooth radio for hands-free communication, and an optional heated air-suspension seat.
Additional highlights include a slide-up front door that can be left open during operation, self-leveling functionality, and Electronic Torque Travel Management, which automatically adjusts hydraulic flow for optimal performance. The Advanced Multifunction Valve enables simultaneous operation of attachments, bucket, and lift arms for improved productivity.
Maintenance is also made easier with a tilting cabin design that raises 71 degrees without lifting the arms, plus a slide-and-tilt radiator and oil cooler for quick access. Other upgrades include LED work lights, bolt-on cab handrails, and rubber track options in 12.6-inch or 15-inch widths.
Market Availability and Pricing
Kubota has positioned the SVL65-2s as an affordable yet powerful option, with pricing about $2,000 higher than its predecessor but roughly $8,000 less than the SVL75-3. The model continues Kubota’s commitment to offering durable, performance-driven machines at competitive prices.
“The SVL65-2s delivers the same dependable performance our customers rely on, with enhancements that make everyday operation smoother and more comfortable,” said Anna Kitzerow, Product Manager for Kubota Construction Equipment.
Dealerships across the U.S. are expected to receive the SVL65-2s by December 2025, expanding Kubota’s compact equipment portfolio with a feature-rich and operator-friendly CTL designed for modern jobsite demands.
