Shalabh Chaturvedi Steps In as ICEMA Vice President for 2025–27
The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA) has chosen Shalabh Chaturvedi, Managing Director of CASE Construction Equipment for India and SAARC, as its new Vice President for the 2025–27 term. His appointment comes at a time when the industry is moving fast towards greener practices, digital tools, and future-ready infrastructure.
How ICEMA Picks Its Leaders
Every two years, ICEMA members—nearly 165 companies—come together to elect their leadership. Its council has 12 representatives from primary members and 3 from associate members, giving the whole sector a fair say. More than just an industry body, ICEMA acts as a common voice, working with the government and partners to address new regulations, market shifts, and technology transitions.
CASE’s Strong Involvement
CASE Construction Equipment, part of CNH Industrial, has always played an active role in ICEMA’s journey. Shalabh himself has been deeply involved in shaping people-focused initiatives. As chair of ICEMA’s Human Capital Panel, he launched the first-ever Human Capital Summit and led the creation of the CE Human Capital Trends Report 2024–25. The report, focused on inclusivity and preparing the workforce for future skills, has been seen as a turning point for the industry.
Shalabh’s Vision Going Forward
Speaking about his new role, Shalabh expressed his gratitude and stressed on the importance of working hand-in-hand with industry peers, policymakers, and stakeholders. His priorities are clear: promote sustainability, encourage innovation, support digital adoption, and prepare the workforce for tomorrow’s infrastructure demands. He also aims to make sure Indian practices keep pace with global standards while keeping growth inclusive and sustainable.
Why This Moment Matters
His appointment comes as India’s construction equipment sector faces big changes—tighter environmental rules, rapid infrastructure growth, and evolving customer needs. With ICEMA guiding the way, the industry is expected to not only meet these challenges but also set benchmarks in technology and talent development.
