Escorts Kubota Reports Tractor, Construction Equipment Growth
Faridabad-based Escorts Kubota Limited closed March 2026 on a positive note, reporting 12,119 tractors sold, up 6.6% year-on-year, and 765 construction equipment units, marking a 24.6% YoY increase. Sustained rural demand, the onset of Rabi harvesting, and steady project execution supported growth, while export sales saw a slight decline amid evolving global conditions.
Tractor Sales Performance
Tractor volumes in March 2026 rose to 12,119 units from 11,374 units in March 2025. Domestic sales reached 11,582 units, a 7.5% increase compared to 10,775 units last year. The company credited steady rural sentiment, ongoing farm activity, government policies, and GST reductions as key factors driving demand.
Export sales, however, fell to 537 tractors from 599 units last year, reflecting a 10.4% decline, largely attributed to geopolitical uncertainties affecting supply chains.
For the full financial year FY26, total tractor sales reached 1,33,670 units, up 15.7% from FY25. Domestic volumes grew 14.9%, while exports recorded a strong 33.8% increase over the previous year.
Construction Equipment Shows Robust Growth
Escorts Kubota’s construction equipment segment also posted significant gains in March 2026, with 765 units sold compared to 614 units in March 2025, marking a 24.6% YoY rise. Growth was supported by steady project execution and a robust order pipeline, though global supply chain risks persist due to geopolitical tensions.
Despite a strong final quarter, FY26 total construction equipment sales stood at 5,794 units, down 10.6% from FY25, highlighting a mixed annual performance but signs of recovery in Q4.
