CHARGEZONE to Launch 1,000 EV Supercharging Stations Across India

CHARGEZONE has announced plans to roll out over 1,000 high-capacity EV supercharging stations across India’s key highway corridors by FY2027. The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening the country’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and supporting the government’s PM E-Drive initiative.

Expanding EV Infrastructure on Key Highway Corridors

The expansion will target major routes including Delhi–Mumbai, Bengaluru–Hyderabad, Mumbai–Hyderabad, Delhi–Chandigarh, Bengaluru–Chennai, Vizag–Chennai, and Mumbai–Bengaluru. Designed to cater to both passenger EVs and commercial electric vehicles, the network will support smooth EV operations along highways and freight corridors.

CHARGEZONE will implement the rollout using a Dealer Owned, Company Operated (DOCO) model, opening up investment opportunities for landowners, entrepreneurs, and institutions. While investors own the assets, CHARGEZONE will manage development, commissioning, and operations to maintain consistent service standards across all stations.

High-Capacity Stations to Support Growing EV Adoption

Mr. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of CHARGEZONE, highlighted the importance of reliable infrastructure for EV adoption beyond urban centres. He said, “The planned stations, with capacities ranging from 500 kW to 1.5 MW, will support large-scale EV movement and play a critical role in achieving India’s electrification goals.”

To facilitate wider participation, CHARGEZONE has partnered with the State Bank of India under the EV Mitra scheme. The partnership offers structured financing solutions from ₹10 lakh to ₹10 crore, with repayment tenures up to seven years. Investors can also access support under CGTMSE and co-investment options, making entry into the EV infrastructure space easier.

Project E-DHARA Integrates Renewable Energy

In parallel, CHARGEZONE is advancing its Project E-DHARA initiative, combining solar power, battery energy storage systems, and high-speed chargers. This approach ensures round-the-clock operations while reducing dependence on the power grid, creating a more sustainable and resilient EV charging network.

The ambitious expansion positions CHARGEZONE as a key player in India’s journey toward electrification, supporting both the growth of EV adoption and the creation of a future-ready charging ecosystem.
