Cityflo Expands Fleet And Operations

Cityflo, the app-based premium bus commute platform, has announced a major expansion, deploying over 200 buses across new routes in Delhi NCR and launching services in Kolkata for the first time. With this expansion, the company’s operational fleet exceeds 1,000 buses — tripling its size compared to the previous year.

Growing Presence Across Major Indian Cities

The expansion strengthens Cityflo’s presence in four major cities: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, and Kolkata. The company attributes this move to increasing demand from corporate professionals seeking reliable and comfortable commute alternatives amid declining service quality from competitors.

Delhi NCR Expansion Details

In Delhi NCR, Cityflo is adding over 200 buses across more than 30 new routes. These routes connect residential areas in Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, and Gurgaon to commercial hubs such as DLF Cyber City and Sohna Road, enhancing daily commute options for urban professionals.

Kolkata Launch And Routes

Cityflo is entering Kolkata with 200 buses, covering key corridors between major residential hubs and commercial districts, including Sector V and the New Town Business District. The launch marks the company’s first operational presence in the eastern region.

Impact On Ridership And Sustainability

Cityflo currently serves over five million professionals annually and has reported a 50% increase in active daily ridership over the past year. Its buses collectively replace around 1.6 million private car trips every year across operating cities, supporting sustainable urban mobility.

Service Model Focus

The company’s service model focuses on reserved seating, express routes, live customer support, and strict safety protocols. These features differentiate Cityflo from public transport and private vehicle options, offering commuters reliability and comfort.

Future Plans And Electric Fleet Transition

Looking ahead, Cityflo plans to increase route density in existing markets, expand corporate partnerships, and accelerate the transition to an electric fleet. The long-term goal is to make shared transit the preferred choice for urban professionals in India’s major cities.
