CNH Pune Machinery Expands Manufacturing and Global Export Role

The CNH Pune machinery facility, spread across 280,000 square metres in Maharashtra, is a major production hub for combine harvesters, sugarcane harvesters, tractors, balers, headers and other advanced agricultural equipment. The plant is equipped with automated systems, fabrication units, modern assembly lines and strict testing processes to ensure global standards.

According to CNH India leadership, the Pune facility is a core part of the company’s “India for India” and “India for Global” strategy, supporting both domestic demand and international exports. India has now been positioned as a standalone global region for CNH, strengthening its role in R&D, manufacturing and strategic sourcing.

The company has also seen strong export growth, with components worth millions already shipped globally, and future projections aiming for significantly higher export revenues over the next few years.

Smart Farming Technologies from CNH Pune Machinery Ecosystem

The CNH Pune machinery lineup includes advanced solutions designed for India’s diverse agricultural conditions. The company is focusing on improving productivity through mechanisation in crops such as sugarcane, wheat, maize, pulses and paddy.

The sugarcane harvester technology, for example, helps reduce crop losses by cutting at ground level, improving productivity and supporting cleaner harvesting practices. Similarly, combine harvesters are designed for multi-crop flexibility and better field output, while precision planters help reduce seed usage and improve spacing accuracy.

The CNH Pune machinery expansion comes at a time when India’s farm mechanisation levels remain relatively low, especially in areas like crop residue management and sugarcane harvesting. CNH sees this gap as a major opportunity for growth in the coming decades.
