Srinivas Balantrapu Appointed VECV MD CEO 2026

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV) has announced that Srinivas Balantrapu will take over as the company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2026. He will succeed Vinod Aggarwal, who will assume the role of Chairman of the Board representing Eicher Motors Limited.

Extensive Experience Across the Eicher Ecosystem

Srinivas Balantrapu brings over three decades of industry experience within the Eicher ecosystem, having worked across product strategy, purchasing, sales, and marketing. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at VECV, B Srinivas has been instrumental in guiding operational strategies and driving innovation.

Leadership Journey at VECV

B Srinivas joined Eicher Motors Limited in August 1994 as a deputy manager in product development, during a critical transition phase before the joint venture with the Volvo Group. He played a key role in launching Eicher’s 9-tonne and 12-tonne trucks, which reshaped India’s medium-duty truck segment.

Between 2018 and 2022, Srinivas led Eicher Trucks and Buses at VECV and served as Head of Product Strategy and Purchasing from 2022 to 2024. Since 2024, as COO, he has been actively driving operational strategies and managing multiple business functions.

Vinod Aggarwal to Become Chairman

After 16 years as MD & CEO, Vinod Aggarwal will transition to Chairman of VECV, representing Eicher Motors Limited. He succeeds Sofia Frändberg, who completed her three-year term as Chairperson for the Volvo Group and will continue on the company’s board.

Aggarwal’s tenure strengthened VECV’s market presence, expanded the company into new segments, and enhanced its position in the commercial vehicle industry, building on four decades of experience within the Eicher Group.

With Srinivas Balantrapu as the new MD & CEO, VECV plans to accelerate product innovation and expand its footprint in both domestic and international commercial vehicle markets.
