Indore–Pithampur Economic Corridor Phase 1 Commences

Construction has begun on Phase 1 of the Indore–Pithampur Economic Corridor in Madhya Pradesh. Covering a 19.60 km stretch with an estimated investment of ₹250 crore, this marks the first step toward executing the overall ₹2,500 crore project. The corridor aims to strengthen connectivity between Indore and Pithampur, improve freight movement, and support industrial and regional development.

Key Features of the Corridor

• Development of road networks to ensure seamless connectivity to the Super Corridor
• Installation of drainage systems and electricity infrastructure along the corridor
• Creation of an industrial zone spanning 3–5 km on both sides of the road
• Integration of residential and commercial developments to support workforce and business growth
• Reduced travel time between Indore and Pithampur for commuters and logistics operations
