₹400 Crore for Electric Bus Fleet Expansion
A key highlight of the budget is the ₹400 crore allocation for procuring new electric buses, aimed at expanding the state’s public transport fleet while reducing urban pollution.

The upgraded terminals will feature digital passenger information systems, enhanced waiting areas, and improved sanitation facilities, creating a passenger-friendly ecosystem while supporting efficient fleet management.
Charging Infrastructure and Road Safety
To support the growing EV ecosystem, ₹50 crore has been set aside for EV charging stations at bus terminals. Another ₹50 crore is allocated under the Chief Minister’s Road Safety Vision Scheme, focusing on accident prevention, public awareness, and emergency response improvements.

Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh emphasised that these budget provisions aim to set new benchmarks in infrastructure development, technological integration, and road safety.
The focus on electric mobility, modern bus stands, and supporting infrastructure positions Uttar Pradesh as a state committed to sustainable, efficient, and future-ready public transport systems.
