The King Kargo CNG HD features a 301.1cc, four-stroke, spark ignition, liquid-cooled CNG engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The powertrain produces 12.20 hp at 4750 rpm and 22.4 Nm torque at 3000 rpm.

One standout feature is the integration of a slipper-clutch system—the first in this segment—which allows drivers to perform aggressive engine braking without wheel lock-up.
