Tata Motors Dominates Electric Commercial Vehicle Sales in January 2026
Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles emerged as the top-selling electric commercial vehicle (e-CV) brand in India in January 2026, selling 700 units. This marks a 105.9% year-on-year (YoY) growth from 340 units in January 2025 and a 32% month-on-month (MoM) increase over December 2025. Tata’s strong performance allowed it to maintain the largest share in the rapidly growing Indian e-CV retail market.
Euler Motors Surges With Massive YoY Growth
Euler Motors secured the second position in January 2026, selling 336 units—a staggering 2000% YoY increase compared to just 16 units in January 2025. Monthly growth was also notable, with a 22.18% MoM increase from 275 units sold in December 2025. Euler’s performance reflects its growing presence and customer acceptance in India’s electric commercial vehicle segment.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ranks Third
Mahindra Group’s Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 252 electric vehicles in January 2026, achieving a 90.9% YoY rise from 212 units sold in January 2025. The brand also recorded an 18.87% MoM increase over December 2025, consolidating its position as the third-largest player in India’s e-CV retail market.
Switch Mobility Posts Moderate YoY Growth
Switch Mobility sold 192 electric commercial vehicles in January 2026, showing a 14.3% YoY increase from 168 units in January 2025. Despite a 41.1% MoM decline, the brand retained its position among the top-selling e-CV companies in India.
Other Key Players’ Performance
JBM Auto sold 111 units, up 113.5% YoY, while VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) and Tivolt faced monthly sales declines but posted strong YoY growth, with Tivolt recording 850% YoY increase. Companies like Olectra and PMI Electro Mobility saw retail dips, while Sany Heavy Industry and Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM) witnessed remarkable MoM growth of 4100% and 3300%, respectively. Pinnacle Mobility and Aeroeagle also reported significant sales increases in January 2026.
Overall Market Trend
FADA’s January 2026 data highlights that India’s electric commercial vehicle market sold 2,060 units in total, reflecting a 115.5% YoY growth from 956 units in January 2025 and a 4.83% MoM rise from 1,965 units in December 2025. Tata Motors’ leadership, combined with strong growth from Euler, Mahindra, and other emerging players, signals a growing shift towards electrification in India’s commercial vehicle segment.
