HUDDIG 1370 Redefines Multi-Function Equipment Performance

HUDDIG Equipment is reinforcing its reputation for versatility and operational efficiency with the HUDDIG 1370, a multi-function excavator loader designed to handle a wide range of tasks across infrastructure, utilities, rail, and cable operations. With its ability to operate numerous hydraulic attachments and adapt quickly to different job requirements, the machine is increasingly being positioned as a cost- and time-saving alternative to multiple specialized units.

At the core of the HUDDIG 1370’s appeal is its exceptional flexibility. With a quick change of attachments at a maintenance garage, the machine can transition between roles such as snow blower, plow, brush cutter, drill, cable plow, or sweeper. This adaptability allows operators to complete multiple tasks within a single workday, reducing downtime, fleet size, and overall operating costs.

The latest generation HUDDIG 1370 is offered with two powertrain options—a traditional Cummins diesel engine and a hybrid solution. The hybrid variant enables the machine to operate entirely on electric power for up to two hours, significantly lowering fuel consumption and reducing environmental impact. This aligns with growing industry demand for more sustainable and low-emission construction and maintenance equipment.

While the HUDDIG platform allows for more than 43 million configuration possibilities, the manufacturer has simplified selection by introducing three factory-developed models, each tailored to specific operational needs.

The HUDDIG Utility model is optimized for handling diverse tasks within a single shift, offering operators maximum flexibility through a wide range of compatible attachments. The HUDDIG Rail variant is purpose-built for railway professionals, streamlining both maintenance and construction work while delivering reliable performance on and off the tracks. Meanwhile, the HUDDIG Cable model is engineered for the most demanding environments, including power line service, cable plowing, and infrastructure construction in hard-to-reach areas.

Beyond the base configurations, HUDDIG offers several additional equipment options that further enhance functionality. An optional integrated manlift, mounted on the side of the machine, provides a working height of up to 73 feet and electrical insulation up to 46 kV, making it particularly valuable for utility and powerline operations.

Another key feature is the Loader Coupled Crane (LCC), designed primarily for lifting poles and wires in utility work. The LCC also serves as a practical alternative to crane trucks on construction sites, with certified lifting capacity of up to 6 tons and a reach of 82 feet.

According to HUDDIG, one of the machine’s biggest advantages is its ability to replace several conventional machines. With its oscillating pivot, powerful driveline, strong lifting performance, and excellent on- and off-road capability, the HUDDIG 1370 delivers reliable performance across varied terrain and applications.

Often referred to as a “toolbelt machine,” the HUDDIG 1370 brings multiple capabilities into a single platform—offering operators everything they need on-site while improving efficiency, lowering costs, and maximizing productivity across industries.
