EXCON 2025 Sets New Benchmarks for Construction Industry

South Asia’s premier construction equipment exhibition, EXCON 2025, concluded in Bengaluru with record-breaking participation and a focus on technology-driven innovation, sustainability, and exports. Held from December 9 to 13, 2025, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, the 13th edition was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association. Covering around 3.5 million sq ft, the event hosted over 1,250 exhibitors, including 134 international participants from 20 countries, attracting approximately 1.2 lakh business visitors.

Seven international pavilions from China, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, and the UK underscored India’s growing engagement with global markets. The exhibition floor featured more than 300 product launches and live demonstrations across earthmoving, material handling, construction vehicles, tools, accessories, and building materials. This allowed buyers to assess equipment capabilities, compare specifications, and explore new solutions for infrastructure projects.

EXCON 2025 aligned closely with India’s ambitious infrastructure allocation of ₹11.21 lakh crore for FY2026, reflecting strong demand for construction equipment across roads, rail, urban infrastructure, and industrial projects. “The construction equipment sector plays a pivotal role in the nation’s economic growth, and this edition showcased innovations in sustainability and green energy,” said R Mukundan, President Designate, CII and Chairman of EXCON 2025. The exhibition highlighted the industry’s readiness to support infrastructure creation through technology adoption and manufacturing scale-up.

Under the theme “Building India’s Tomorrow,” EXCON 2025 featured zones dedicated to artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, automation, electric and hybrid equipment, and low-emission green technologies. Parallel conference sessions focused on skill development, safety, decarbonisation, and integration with national programmes like Bharatmala, high-speed rail, and Smart Cities under the PM Gati Shakti framework.

Exhibitors emphasized fleet modernisation, productivity improvements, and cost efficiency. Sharwan Agnihotri of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India noted, “EXCON has evolved into a platform bringing together OEMs, technology providers, and policymakers to shape the next growth phase.” Similarly, Manish Mathur of Action Construction Equipment highlighted the show’s role in fostering collaboration and understanding project requirements.

With a goal of building a $25 billion construction equipment market by 2030 and exporting to over 135 countries, EXCON 2025 cemented Bengaluru’s position as a hub for construction technology. The event celebrated India’s status as the world’s third-largest construction equipment market while showcasing innovations that will drive mechanisation, productivity, and sustainability across domestic and international infrastructure projects.
