CASE Construction Targets 10% Growth in India

CASE Construction Equipment is gearing up for a robust rebound in India’s construction sector, aiming for nearly 10% growth in 2026, fueled by anticipated increases in infrastructure spending under the upcoming Union Budget. The UK-based construction equipment giant sees India as its second-most critical market globally, following the United States.

Last year, India’s construction equipment industry faced a decline of 10-15% across various product segments, impacted by extended monsoons and slower capital investments. However, Shalabh Chaturvedi, Managing Director of CASE Construction Equipment – India & SAARC, expects the broader industry to recover to mid-single-digit growth. CASE aims to outperform this benchmark, positioning itself for nearly double-digit expansion this year.

The expected boost in capital expenditure is set to accelerate infrastructure development, road construction, and urban projects, creating significant opportunities for construction equipment demand. Positive farmer income sentiment and renewed investor confidence are additional factors supporting the sector’s growth prospects.

CASE has been operating in India since 1989, maintaining a stronghold in the Vibratory Compactor segment and consistently ranking among the top players in backhoe loaders. Its parent company, CNH, reports nearly $1 billion in revenue from India, a substantial contribution to its $20 billion global business.

Highlighting India’s strategic importance, Emre Karazli, Vice President – Construction Segment, APAC, CNH, described the market as one of the fastest-growing globally. “India’s scale of infrastructure development and its contribution to our global operations make it a key priority,” he said.

As part of its expansion strategy, CASE recently opened a COCO (Company Owned, Company Operated) Brandstore in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, following its earlier Delhi launch. Spread over 5,300 sq. ft., the facility features fully equipped service bays, a dedicated workshop, a warehouse with 700 parts lines, and advanced diagnostic tools. The new store enhances customer accessibility in southern India and reinforces CASE’s regional presence, covering high-potential areas such as Ariyalur, Perambalur, Thanjavur, Madurai, and Tirunelveli.

By combining infrastructure-led growth with regional expansion and enhanced customer support, CASE Construction Equipment is positioning itself to capitalize on India’s rising construction demands. The company’s strategic moves underline India’s growing significance in the global construction equipment landscape and its role as a key driver of CNH’s operations.
