Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyan Awards 1,000 Scholarships

Mahindra Group’s Truck and Bus business has launched the 12th edition of its flagship CSR initiative, Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyan, reaffirming its commitment to social inclusion and the education of truck drivers’ daughters. In the latest edition, the programme will award 1,000 scholarships of ₹10,000 each to girls who have successfully completed their Class X examinations and are pursuing further studies.

The initiative aims to go beyond financial support by providing opportunities for young girls to realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Commenting on the programme, Mr. Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment and Member of the Group Executive Board, stated that Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyan is designed to nurture hope, empower girls, and open doors to brighter futures.

Mr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment, Mahindra Group, highlighted that the sustained commitment to the programme reflects Mahindra’s belief in creating equal opportunities for the next generation. He added that investing in the education of truck drivers’ daughters strengthens society and encourages young girls to emerge as future leaders.

Since its inception in 2014, Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyan has recognised and honoured the determination of truck drivers who prioritise their daughters’ education despite financial and social challenges. Over the past 11 editions, the initiative has benefited 11,029 young girls across India, making it one of the pioneering programmes by a commercial vehicle manufacturer to focus on this cause.

For the current edition, Mahindra plans to identify eligible candidates through an extensive outreach programme covering more than 75 transport hubs nationwide. The selection process is designed to be transparent, independent, and credible, ensuring fairness in the identification of scholarship recipients.

Each selected student will receive ₹10,000 via direct bank transfer, accompanied by a certificate acknowledging her achievement. Leadership from Mahindra Truck and Bus will felicitate the 1,000 scholarship recipients at select locations across India between February and March 2026.

Through the 12th edition of Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyan, the company continues to emphasise the importance of education and social empowerment, offering young girls the support they need to pursue higher studies and contribute to a more equitable and progressive society.
