Montra Electric Expands NCR EV Dealership Network

Montra Electric, the clean mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, has expanded its footprint in the National Capital Region (NCR) with the launch of two new electric commercial vehicle dealerships, reinforcing its presence in one of India’s fastest-growing EV markets. The company has inaugurated an electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Libaspur, North Delhi, and an electric three-wheeler (e-3W) dealership in Surajpur, Greater Noida.

The expansion is aimed at strengthening Montra Electric’s reach across key urban and peri-urban mobility segments, as demand for electric commercial vehicles accelerates in NCR. The region has emerged as a critical market for EV adoption, driven by urban logistics, shared passenger mobility and the rapid scaling of fleet-based operations.

The Greater Noida e-3W dealership, operated by Vigsons Automobiles, will focus on last-mile passenger and cargo transportation. It will cater to individual owner-operators as well as fleet customers, retailing Montra Electric’s Super Auto and Super Cargo models. The facility has been equipped with dedicated service infrastructure and trained EV technicians to support faster service turnaround times and higher vehicle uptime—factors that are crucial for commercial users who rely on daily operations for income generation.

In North Delhi, the newly opened e-SCV dealership is operated by Action Volt Wheels, a part of the Action Earth Movers Group. The outlet is designed to support businesses deploying electric small commercial vehicles for mid-mile and intra-city logistics. Key applications include e-commerce deliveries, FMCG distribution and urban freight movement. The dealership features workshop and after-sales capabilities aligned with fleet requirements, with an emphasis on reliability, service responsiveness and operational continuity.

Senior leadership from TI Clean Mobility attended the inauguration of both dealerships, highlighting the strategic importance of NCR in Montra Electric’s national growth plans. Those present included Arun Murugappan, Chairman; Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director; Saju Nair, CEO – e-SCV; and Deependra Sharma, CEO – e-3W, Montra Electric.

Commenting on the expansion, Arun Murugappan said the transition to electric commercial mobility represents a fundamental shift rather than a simple product change. He emphasised that long-term success in clean mobility will depend on building a strong ecosystem centred on product quality, dependable service and sustained ownership confidence.

Jalaj Gupta described Delhi-NCR as a structurally important market for electric commercial vehicles, noting that growth in the region is being driven by real-world operating use cases rather than pilot-led experimentation. He added that Montra Electric’s strategy focuses on building a robust retail and service network that supports scale and positions electric mobility as a viable and reliable business solution.

With these twin additions, Montra Electric has further deepened its presence in NCR at a time when electric commercial vehicles are transitioning from early adoption to mainstream deployment, supported by fleet electrification and rising demand for clean urban mobility solutions.
