BillionE Mobility Raises $25 Million for Electric Trucks

BillionElectric Mobility (BillionE), an Indian E-Mobility-as-a-Service platform focused on transforming mid-mile and long-haul freight transportation, has raised $25 million in a growth capital round as it prepares to significantly scale its electric truck operations across the country. The funding round included a combination of equity and debt and was supported by a consortium of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices, along with participation from established financial institutions and public sector banks, including State Bank of India.

The fresh infusion of capital marks a critical transition for BillionE Mobility, as the company moves beyond pilot projects and early deployments into large-scale commercial operations. The funding will be directed towards expanding electric truck fleets, building the necessary operational infrastructure, and strengthening technology and fleet management capabilities required for nationwide rollouts.

A major portion of the capital will be used to deploy more than 500 electric trucks during FY 2026–27. In addition, the company plans to invest in advanced fleet management systems, digital platforms, and partnerships across the electric mobility ecosystem. BillionE currently has a pipeline of over 1,500 electric trucks planned for deployment over the next two to three years, backed by confirmed customer demand and existing financing structures.

Commenting on the fundraise, Sanjeev Kulkarni, CEO and Co-Founder of BillionE Mobility, said the company is entering a defining phase for electric commercial mobility in India. He highlighted that the sector is now shifting from pilot-based experimentation to real-world, scalable applications. According to him, the newly raised capital will help accelerate fleet expansion, enhance operational readiness, and deepen collaborations with customers seeking to reduce the carbon footprint of their logistics networks.

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and Chief Platform Architect of the BillionE Platform, which includes ChargeZone and Billion Electric, noted that the company is seeing strong business momentum, with year-on-year growth of around 120 percent. He pointed out that electric trucks have achieved total cost of ownership parity with diesel vehicles on select routes and use cases, particularly in the 19-tonne and 55-tonne segments, significantly improving adoption prospects.

The expanded electric fleet will serve high-impact industrial and commercial sectors such as cement, automotive, third-party logistics, metals, FMCG, chemicals, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and minerals. These industries are considered ideal for electrification due to predictable routes, high utilisation levels, and increasing sustainability commitments from large enterprises.

BillionE Mobility is pursuing a pan-India expansion strategy, with deployments planned across major industrial clusters and freight corridors. These routes are being progressively electrified by its group company, CHARGE ZONE, enabling dependable charging access for electric commercial fleets. As its operations scale, the company expects to deliver substantial reductions in tailpipe emissions, contributing to lower carbon intensity across India’s freight and industrial logistics ecosystem.
