V-GREEN, HPCL Partner to Expand EV Charging Network
V-GREEN and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have announced a strategic partnership to significantly expand India’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The collaboration will see EV charging stations being set up at HPCL fuel outlets across key markets, aiming to make charging more accessible and convenient for EV users nationwide.
The agreement brings together V-GREEN’s expertise in large-scale charging infrastructure development and HPCL’s vast retail network. As one of India’s largest state-owned energy companies, HPCL operates over 24,400 fuel stations across the country, providing an extensive platform for rapid deployment of EV charging solutions. HPCL has already made steady progress in this space, operating more than 5,300 EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge brand.
The partnership comes at a time when India is accelerating its push toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation. With EV adoption gaining momentum across passenger and commercial segments, the availability of reliable charging infrastructure has emerged as a critical enabler. By integrating EV chargers into existing fuel stations, the V-GREEN–HPCL collaboration is expected to improve charging accessibility across urban centres as well as major highways.
Under the collaboration, V-GREEN will support the rollout of charging infrastructure by leveraging HPCL’s nationwide footprint. The move is expected to ensure faster deployment timelines while offering EV users a familiar and trusted charging environment. For customers, this could translate into easier route planning, reduced range anxiety, and improved overall charging experience.
V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company is headquartered in Vietnam and was founded by VinFast founder Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong. The company focuses on building charging ecosystems to support the global expansion of electric vehicles. In its home market, V-GREEN has already established a strong presence, operating nearly 150,000 charging ports across Vietnam through partnerships and large-scale infrastructure development. India features prominently in V-GREEN’s international growth strategy.
The tie-up with HPCL also aligns with broader initiatives involving V-GREEN, VinFast and their partners to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem in India. Beyond charging infrastructure, these efforts span vehicle manufacturing, after-sales support and battery recycling. Together, they aim to address key gaps in the EV value chain and support long-term adoption.
By combining HPCL’s infrastructure strength and retail reach with V-GREEN’s charging technology expertise, the partnership is positioned to play a meaningful role in shaping India’s evolving EV charging landscape. As the country moves toward its clean mobility goals, collaborations such as this are expected to support sustainable transportation and strengthen confidence among EV users.
