VECV Reports Robust November Sales Growth in 2025

Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, closed November 2025 on a strong note, reporting a sharp rise in overall sales. The company recorded 6,593 units sold during the month, significantly higher than the 4,499 units reported in November last year, marking a substantial 46.5% year-on-year expansion. The surge reflects the continued momentum in India’s commercial vehicle market and the consistent demand across VECV’s product categories.

Eicher-branded trucks remained the primary growth driver for the company, delivering 6,366 units in November 2025. This represents an impressive 48.6% jump compared to 4,284 units sold in the same period last year. The uptick came from strong traction in both domestic operations and international markets, with demand rising across small commercial vehicles, light and medium-duty trucks, and heavy-duty segments.

The domestic market contributed the bulk of Eicher’s performance, accounting for 5,862 units in November 2025. This reflects a 47.3% increase over the 3,980 units sold a year earlier, indicating consistent demand from core sectors such as logistics, construction, agriculture, and e-commerce. Within domestic categories, the SCV and LMD segments showed the strongest momentum, growing 50.2% with 4,057 units sold compared to 2,701 units last November. Heavy-duty trucks also posted solid gains, growing 41.1% year-on-year to reach 1,805 units, supported by rising infrastructure activity and long-haul freight movement.

Exports formed another strong pillar of growth for Eicher Trucks. Total export volumes reached 504 units in November 2025, a striking 65.8% improvement over 304 units recorded a year earlier. The light and medium-duty export portfolio grew steadily at 38.9%, with 407 units sold compared to 293 units last year. However, the standout performance came from the heavy-duty export segment, which soared to 97 units from just 11 units in November 2024 — an extraordinary 781.8% jump. This surge underscores Eicher’s growing global presence and the rising acceptance of its heavy-duty line in international markets.

Meanwhile, Volvo Trucks, positioned in the premium heavy-duty category, recorded 227 units in November 2025, slightly higher than the 215 units sold in the previous year. Although the growth rate is modest at 5.6%, the brand continues to maintain its stronghold in the specialised heavy-duty segment that caters to high-performance operations.

With Eicher’s strong domestic and export performance combined with Volvo’s steady contributions, VECV ended the month with a solid overall performance. The company’s positive November results highlight a sustained upward trajectory for its diversified portfolio and reinforce its momentum in India’s evolving commercial vehicle landscape.
