JBM Auto Reports Strong Q2 FY26 Performance; Net Profit Climbs 6.31% Amid New Army Order, Global Launch

JBM Auto Limited, a leading Indian manufacturer in the automotive and electric mobility space, has posted steady financial growth for the quarter ending September 30, 2025. The company reported improved profitability and revenue momentum in Q2 FY26, supported by strong operational performance across its business divisions and significant new orders.

According to the consolidated financial results released by the company, JBM Auto’s net profit rose 6.31% year-on-year to ₹52.25 crore, compared to ₹49.15 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s total revenue, which includes other operating income, grew 6.40% to ₹1,368.24 crore, up from ₹1,285.98 crore in Q2 FY25.

Profit before tax (PBT) came in at ₹74.39 crore, marking a strong 14.59% increase over ₹64.92 crore reported in the year-ago period. JBM Auto also strengthened its operational margins, with EBITDA rising 11.39% to ₹194.72 crore, compared to ₹174.81 crore in the previous fiscal’s second quarter. Earnings per share (EPS) improved to ₹2.23, up from ₹2.09 a year earlier.

The company’s half-yearly performance also showed a positive trend, with revenue for H1 FY26 at ₹2,622.12 crore and profit after tax (PAT) at ₹88.84 crore, both higher than figures reported in H1 FY25.

Major Electric Bus Order from Indian Army
In a significant milestone for India’s defence and public mobility transition, the Indian Army has placed an order for 113 electric buses from JBM Auto. This marks the Army’s first large-scale shift toward electric mobility and aligns with the government’s broader PM E-Drive initiative focused on clean transportation.

Global Debut at Busworld Europe 2025
At the prestigious Busworld Europe 2025 event in Brussels, JBM Electric Vehicles showcased its next-generation ECOLIFE e12 electric city bus, engineered specifically for European markets. This marks the second consecutive year that JBM has been the only Indian original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to unveil a new electric bus at the global exhibition—strengthening its presence in international EV markets.

Record-Breaking Component and Toolroom Performance
The company’s component business delivered its highest-ever quarterly revenue, reflecting strong order books and operational efficiency. Similarly, the Toolroom division posted its best Q2 performance to date, signalling robust demand across its tooling and engineering services.
