Daimler India Opens New BharatBenz Dealership in Jammu with PPS Trucking
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has inaugurated a new authorised BharatBenz dealership in Jammu in partnership with PPS Trucking, further strengthening its footprint in northern India.
The new facility, located at Kartholi Village, Birpur, on NH-44, will cater to sales, service, and spare parts requirements for BharatBenz commercial vehicles operating across Jammu, Srinagar, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh.
Boosting Transport and Infrastructure Needs
The dealership has been established to serve the increasing demand from road development projects, tourism, and agri-logistics in Jammu and surrounding districts including Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, and Kishtwar.
“The inauguration of our new dealership in Jammu underlines BharatBenz’s commitment to expand its footprint in India’s high-growth regions,” said Rajiv Chaturvedi, President and Chief Business Officer, DICV. “Jammu & Kashmir is strategically important, with booming infrastructure projects, strong transport demand, and the critical role it plays for BRO fleets.”
World-Class Facility
Spread over 22,000 sq. ft., the PPS Trucking facility is equipped with eight service bays, modern diagnostic systems, wheel alignment machines, and 24×7 roadside assistance with two mobile vans. The facility can service over 2,700 vehicles annually and includes a dedicated driver rest area. A team of 35 trained technicians will support operations.
PPS Trucking Expansion Plans
“We are delighted to expand PPS Trucking’s footprint in Northern India with this BharatBenz 3S facility in Jammu,” said Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director, PPS Trucking. “This marks our presence in the 7th state, with 59 touchpoints across India.”
With growing demand for refrigerated transport and freight movement in the region, PPS Trucking is planning further expansion in Jammu & Kashmir, offering express service, scheduled maintenance, on-site repairs, and strong spare parts availability to minimise downtime for BharatBenz trucks and buses.
