SANY Unveils World’s Largest Pure Electric Heavy Truck Manufacturing Base

SANY TRUCK, a subsidiary of SANY Group, has unveiled what is being hailed as the world’s largest pure electric heavy truck manufacturing base, marking a significant leap in the company’s digital and low-carbon transformation strategy.

With a total investment exceeding $3 billion and a planned area of 1,000,000 square metres, the new facility underscores SANY’s commitment to advancing sustainable transportation. The manufacturing base is expected to generate an annual output value of more than $208 billion, making it one of the most ambitious ventures in the global commercial vehicle industry.

State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Line

The plant is equipped with fully automated production capabilities, integrating over 200 industrial robots. Thanks to this level of automation, a new truck is assembled every six minutes, ensuring both high efficiency and precision. The production capacity is set at 300,000 units per year, supported by 700+ automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that streamline material handling.

Adding to its advanced infrastructure are three stereoscopic warehouses, which reportedly deliver a tenfold increase in efficiency compared to conventional plants. This system enhances logistics, storage, and distribution within the facility, helping the company meet large-scale demand seamlessly.

Expanding Product Portfolio

SANY TRUCK’s product line spans pure electric heavy trucks, electric light trucks, diesel-powered heavy trucks, and hydrogen-fueled heavy trucks, along with a range of power replenishment solutions. This diversified portfolio positions the company as a key player in supporting global decarbonisation efforts, while still catering to traditional fuel demand during the transition phase.

Driving Low-Carbon Transformation

By establishing this cutting-edge manufacturing base, SANY TRUCK is strengthening its role as a pioneer in the global shift toward low-carbon mobility. The initiative reflects the company’s long-term vision to lead the market in electric heavy trucks while promoting clean energy solutions.

Industry analysts suggest that the scale of this facility, coupled with SANY’s technological innovations, will set new benchmarks in the global heavy truck manufacturing sector. With its capacity to deliver high volumes of electric and hydrogen-powered trucks, the company is expected to play a vital role in transforming freight transport into a more sustainable, eco-friendly industry.
