Tata Motors Debuts in Dominican Republic with New CV Lineup

vehicles and customer-focused services to boost local businesses.

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle maker, has made its debut in the Dominican Republic through a strategic tie-up with authorised distributor Equimax. This launch is part of Tata Motors’ global growth drive and brings a carefully curated range of vehicles tailored to the demands of the nation’s logistics, construction, and last-mile delivery sectors.

The line-up is designed to meet specific market needs: the nimble Tata Super Ace offers quick turnarounds for FMCG, e-commerce, and food deliveries; the tough Tata Xenon pickup—available in single and double cabin options—caters to both utility and cargo transport; the modern Ultra series (T.6, T.7, T.9) delivers smart solutions for urban freight; and the heavy-duty LPT 613 tipper is built for the rigours of construction and infrastructure projects. Each vehicle is engineered for strong performance, longer service life, and lower running costs, ensuring businesses can maximise productivity without inflating operating expenses.

Beyond the hardware, customers will benefit from a service package that includes extended warranties of up to five years or 200,000 km on select models, along with Equimax’s network of conveniently located service centres for quick turnaround times. This means reduced downtime, better fleet efficiency, and predictable maintenance costs—critical factors for transport operators who can’t afford interruptions.

At the launch event, Asif Shamim, Head of International Business for Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, emphasised that the Dominican Republic’s growing economy and infrastructure development make it a natural fit for the company’s expansion plans. With Equimax’s strong local presence and commitment to after-sales care, he said customers can expect reliable products backed by responsive support for the long term.

Equimax President Gabriel Tellerias added that the vehicles chosen for this market reflect a deep understanding of local transport challenges and business priorities. He noted that the focus will be on delivering not just vehicles, but a complete ownership experience that helps companies improve operational efficiency and long-term profitability.

With sales spanning over 40 countries, Tata Motors brings decades of engineering experience and a reputation for delivering robust, cost-efficient mobility solutions. The Dominican Republic launch strengthens that legacy, offering local businesses the tools they need to grow in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
